I am writing to express my interest in forging strong relations between India and the United States and to urge you to become a member of the Congressional Caucus on India. I also urge you to sponsor legislation that would enhance US-India friendship. This is a good way for you to reach out to the Indo-American community whose Primary link to Congress is through "India Caucus".

The relationship between America and India is based on the solid foundation of a shared commitment to democracy and free markets. India offers enormous opportunities for trade and investment for U.S. companies. American companies are showing greater interest in India because India is one of the fastest growing emerging markets in the world  and US-India trade has great potential. At the same time, the U.S. and India are confronted by many of the same threats, particularly the forces of international terrorism. Close U.S.-India ties will mean a better life for the American and Indian peoples, and a more stable and prosperous world.

These issues are amongst those I consider vital to the process of electing my representative, and I hope that in consideration of these wishes from a constituent, you will do all you can to forge a strong partnership with India for the United States.
